The Afro Jazz song bird Diana Samkange also known as the ‘First Lady’, has recorded a new nine track album titled ‘Kumagumo Erudo’ (Nature of Love) which marks it her second album which is to be launched on the 30th of April this year.
The album consists of a song "Anokuda" which features veteran producer Mc Donald Chidavaenzi a.k.a Mac Dee. "Intoyami" is a song which only defines love.
Third track is Kumagumo Erudo, a track that is reloaded as it calls people to love each other up to the end.
Ndichamira Newe and Ndichakupa Iwe by Andy Brown has helped to add a new feeling to her music as he also maintained the guitar section on three songs.
Ndichamira Newe is another love song and other tracks to listen to are Ndawana Rudo and Ndichakupa Iwe, Chipo kubva kudenga.
Above all Diana has been inspired with music of the late James Chimombe in which she made Jemedza and Uchandiramba as renditions.
The album features producers like Russo, Jairos Hambahamba, Mac Dee, Lyton Ngolani, and Mono Mkundu.Apart from music she spend much of her time doing Interior Deco where she specializes in face modeling such as adverts, bill boards and she also owns a music company promotion First Lady Music World.
Diana confirmed that getting to be known is the toughest part in the music industry.‘The toughest part has been getting used to being known’ she confessed .
It took very long for people in Zimbabwe to appreciate their music but when it comes to recording she was the luckiest person because got sponsorship from the well wishers who supported her in everything.
Diana’s performances are found everywhere in Zimbabwe as she said only just a few towns which she is not known but she wishes to cover all the hangouts of Harare this year.
