Fighting piracy: Carl Ncube.
TV producer,director and events planner Carl Joshua Ncube will be living at Harare First Street for one week in protest against music piracy.
Speaking to Tribe 263 Carl expressed disappointment on how music is pirated in Zimbabwe. ‘I am not happy about the issue of piracy as everywhere you go ,dozens of pirated CDs are displayed in streets and flea markets ’ he said.

‘Music industry has no hope in Zimbabwe in other words I will end up in the street if it continues like this since nothing is materializing in the music industry’ he vowed.
He is going to hold a press conference at Symphony Restaurant in Harare this afternoon 12 March 12, 2010 to explain his actions and from there he will move straight to the First street where he will live until end of next week Thursday 18 March.
He is going to perform the whole week a sacrificial life without any single cent, no changing of clothes, not a supply of food.‘I want to live on the street. I will deal with issues like food, when the need arises’, he said. Carl has also been assured some security by the Zimbabwe Republic Police.
He will also be carrying a banner which he will ask people to sign as a pledge to stop pirating music and to stop buying pirated music.

Above all Carl has done quite a number of activities as he directed the Miss Tourism Zimbabwe, NAMA , ZIMA and has also been handed to be the executive director of ZIMA scheduled for May 22 this year.
